Context of Practice essay briefing
Todays session introduced us too an essay that needs to be complete on a question of our choice. It needs to be 3000 words give or take a 10% margin and this will include quotes from reference sources from internet and publication sources.
The question I have chose to base my essay on is the following:
Choosing a particular period from 1800 to the present, in what ways has art or design responded to the changing social and cultural forces of that period. Chose 2 specific related examples.
Looking into social changes and how it has influenced a visual culture is one way to look at this question, along with looking into how this visual culture is effected by wars and subcultures. Social effects is something that will form the essay too.
We have been introduced to the Harvard referencing system as this will be a key element too referencing quotes from varying sources within the essay. We need to include 4 quotes from academic sources and the bibliography needs to consist of 12 sources.
